Bar and Bat Mitzvah blog post

Hello, we just finished learning about bar and bat mitzvahs and here are some things I learned about. Life changes once you reach the age of a bar/bat mitzvah because now you are responsible for your sins and you can read from the Torah. Tallit and Tefillin are important because they remind you of the 613 mitzvot. A tallit and tefillin are both worn while praying. Something I found interesting was how they got the dye for the tekhelet. To get the dye they had to kill a sea snail called the chilazon. One thing I wondered about was if the chilazon actually appeared once every seventy years.

Here is a picture of Tefillin.
